 Gazeen Marri acquitted in Justice Nawaz murder case

QUETTA: Former home minister Balochistan Nawabzada Gazeen Marri was on Saturday vindicated by the session court in the Justice Nawaz Marri murder case.

The case was heard by Additional Session Judge-II Saboor Mengal. Gazeen was accused of killing Justice Nawaz, a Balochistan High Court judge, in 2000 in Quetta.

On Feb 28, 2018, District and Sessions Judge Rashid Mehmood had indicted him in the murder case, while he pleaded not guilty during the case proceedings.

Nawaz Marri was shot dead on Jan 6, 2000 on Zarghoon road in Quetta.
