PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s Cyber Wing (Peshawar) has arrested an organised gang involved in hacking emails of Peshawar police officers.

The suspects would obtain data and location through different mobile phone companies and sell them in exchange for heavy amount of money.

The FIA has registered an FIR against the suspects for their involvement in cybercrime activities. The suspects have made crucial revelations during investigation.

According to details, an FIA’s team raided at a hotel on Ring Road and arrested the suspects, Shoaib Nawaz, Samiullah, Imran Mahmood Butt, Ahsanullah and Humayun Khursheed, embroiled in hacking of email and WhatsApp and obtaining call detail records and NADRA data. The law enforcers seized important documents and electronic devices from their possession.

The FIA said that the suspects had made different social media IDs of females through which they used to collect money from people.
