Funeral prayer of Nadia Faisal to be offered today

KARACHI: Geo News, Entertainment Desk in-charge and member of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) Nadia Faisal has passed away at the age of 46 years after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday.

Husband of the deceased and well-known film and television producer, Faisal Rafi on his Twitter account confirmed the news and announced that her funeral prayer will be offered on Wednesday (today) at Zuhr at Mubarak Masjid near Seaview.

She was also known among her friends, family and colleagues as Neini Rafi.

“Friends, family and colleagues, after a long struggle with cancer today my wife and my love Nieni passed away to be with the creator, her funeral will be held at Zuhr time tomorrow, Wednesday the 28th of August, at Mubarak Masjid Seaview, she will live in all our hearts forever,” Faisal Rafi tweeted.

Veteran journalist Nadia had worked for various media houses mainly in entertainment section. She had been last associated with Geo News for about 13 years as head of the Entertainment Desk.

Scores of condolences from the media and entertainment industry have poured in over her demise.
