From Chitral to Milan Fashion Week
Proud moment for Pakistan. Art from Chitral made its way to Milan Fashion Week.
Stella Jean, an Haitian-Italian designer collaborated with Chitrali women from Pakistan for her collection which was presented at the Milan Fashion Week.
“Despite the distance of thousands of miles, countless hands in both countries worked together with a common goal: to preserve the global cultural heritage, Stella Jean”.
Recently, Pakistani models Mushk Kaleem and Alicia Khan were selected to walk for Haitian-Italian designer Stella Jean at the ongoing Milan Fashion Week.
But Stella did not stop here, she showcased her latest Spring/Summer 2020 collection at Milan Fashion Week, which incorporated multiple elements from Chitral and Kalash culture.
The collection sold online instantly.
In an IG video, Stella praised work of Chitral and Kalash Valley’s women for the beauty of her collection. She wrote,
“My dear friends a heartfelt thank you for the congratulations, but believe me, the Beauty of the Collection is in the Story behind these clothes.”
She continued writing,
“I invite you all up there at more than 10000 ft high, in two minutes! to discover in my ninth mission: destination Pakistan.”
