PARIS: France has condemned Israel’s plan to advance construction of 800 more Jewish settler homes in the occupied West Bank.
“France calls on the Israeli authorities not to implement these decisions,” the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement. It urged Israeli authorities to shun the plan.
It asked both the parties to avoid any unilateral measures that could jeopardize the two-state solution founded on international law and agreed parameters.
France has always been against Israel’s controversial expansionist practices against Palestinians.
On Jan 11, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had said that 800 more apartments would be built for illegal settlers in the occupied West Bank.
