At least four female social workers were gunned down on Monday in North Waziristan.
According to media reports, four women development workers from NGO Sabawoon became victims of targeted attack after unidentified persons opened fire at their vehicle in North Waziristan this morning. A driver was reportedly injured in the incident.
According to police, the women were travelling to a village near Mir Ali, N. Waziristan when they were attacked.
The victims were identified as Naheed Bibi, Irshad Bibi, Ayesha Bibi and Javeria Bibi. All four women were hand craft trainers at the NGO.
“While one Mariam Bibi luckily survived as she was entered in a house,” the police stated.
Member of National Assembly Mohsin Dawar condemned the incident. “The wave of indiscriminate killings continues unabated in our region with no end in sight to the ongoing violence,” the MNA wrote on social media.
