Four soldiers martyred in different incidents

RAWALPINDI: During exchange of fire with terrorists, three soldiers embraced shahadat (martyrdom) on Thursday in two separate intelligence based operations on terrorist hideouts in North Wazirstan.

Two terrorists including an IED expert were also killed in the operations.

The martyred soldiers have been identified as Sepoy Azaib Ahmed, resident of Karak, Sepoy Zia Ul Islam, resident of Bannu, and Lance Naik Abbass Khan, resident of District Orakzai.

Separately, 28-year-old Sepoy Nabeel Liaqat, resident of Gujar Khan, was martyred in an “unprovoked ceasefire violation” by the Indian troops along the Line of Control near the Dewa sector.

The ISPR said: “The Pakistan Army troops responded promptly and inflicted heavy losses to the enemy in terms of men and material.”
