Four killed, PTI MPA Malik Liaqat injured in targeted attack
PTI’s member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Malik Liaqat Ali Khan was critically injured while four others lost their lives after unidentified men attacked him in Lower Dir district.
The rescue officials said that the nephew and brother of the member of the provincial assembly also lost their lives in the firing incident, this incident took place in the limits of Zimdra police station.
The MPA was returning home after attending a funeral at Gal Maidan when his vehicle was attacked by unknown assailants on Saturday night.
Malik Liaquat Khan along with two other relatives were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Taimargarh from where the MPA was later shifted to Peshawar.
According to Rescue 1122, constable Naseer, Levies Constable Bacha Rawan, MPA’s brother Jahan Alam and nephew Yasir are among the deceased.
Among the injured are Member Provincial Assembly Malik Liaquat Khan, his 28-year-old secretary Muhammad Shoaib, 35-year-old Shakreen and 14-year-old Huzaifa.
According to hospital sources, the MPA has sustained multiple injuries, a doctor said that he is being operated on and is out of danger.
