PESHAWAR: Four police officials involved in torturing and making nude video of a man for abusing police force in a social media post were arrested, while Senior Superintendent Police Operations Peshawar Zahoor Babar Afridi was removed from his post for poor supervision.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had taken strict notice of the incident. He had directed the inspector general to immediately suspend and arrest the police officials involved in the incident and present him inquiry report in this regard.

Mahmood Khan said the affected citizen should be provided justice and whoever would be involved in the incident would be dealt with an iron hand. “Nobody will be allowed to misuse his authority. Even if someone is culprit, it is the court’s duty to punish him,” he said.
Advisor to CM Ajmal Wazir said that four police officials including a SHO were involved in the incident. He declared the incident a barbarism.
Ajmal Wazir said that an FIR was lodged against the suspects and inquiry was being conducted from officers up to SSP Peshawar.
The SSP has been directed to report to the Central Police Office.
On the other hand, Peshawar High Court’s Justice Qaiser Rasheed has also taken notice of the incident and summoned the KP IG police and CCPO.
