Four boys drowned in Indus River near Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Four boys, including two brothers, have drowned in Indus River near Hyderabad on Thursday.
Bodies of the victims, aged between 13 and 18, have been recovered. The incident took place when they were taking a bath in the river. The deceased have been identified as Hamza, Adesh, Mateen and Umair and they were residents of the same area Latifabad No. 12.
The dead bodies have been shifted to morgue from where they would be handed over to their heirs after ghusl (full ablution).
On July 7, three boys had drowned while bathing in Keenjhar Lake in Thatta district.
According to the local administration, the three boys had come to the lake for a picnic. They went into the deep water instead of staying at the picnic spot. An administration official had said that they could not realize its depth, hence they drowned.
