Former PM Imran Khan to hold public gatherings at Peshawar and Karachi

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced his first public gathering after ousted as Prime Minister.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan announced in a statement on Twitter that he would address a public gathering in Peshawar after Isha prayers on Wednesday, which would be his first public meeting since he was ousted as a result of regime change.
“I want all our people to fully participate in this gathering because Pakistan was brought into being not as a puppet of foreign powers but as a free and independent state,” he said.
Imran Khan added, “We are calling for immediate elections because the only way forward is to give the people a chance to decide who they want to elect their Prime Minister through free and fair elections.”
Earlier, Secretary General PTI Asad Umar in a tweet announced a public gathering at Karachi on Sunday.
“Karachi get ready, Imran Khan is coming, Insha Allah Pakistan will see Karachi stands with its leader Imran Khan for an independent Pakistan” he tweeted.
But later he re-tweeted the tweet of President PTI Karachi which stated that, Imran Khan will hold a public gathering at 16 April at 9pm in lieu of 17 April.
