ISLAMABAD: Former accountability court judge Arshad Malik on Friday died of COVID-19.
He was admitted to a private hospital, Shifa, in Islamabad for quite some time and was put on ventilator for last one week. His health condition was critical during the last few days.
Arshad Malik had announced a judgement against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and he was later suspended from the post by the Islamabad High Court after his video was leaked in which he claimed that he gave ruling against Nawaz Sharif under “duress”. He was sent back to his parent department the Lahore High Court.
A year later, the LHC committee dismissed him from services after finding him guilty of professional misconducts.
