A formal investigation has been launched against former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Ajmal Wazir.

The Commission of Inquiry has also issued a letter to the Information Secretary to investigate the audio recording scandal. All the details of advertisements during the tenure of Ajmal Wazir have been sought from the Information Department.

Policy documents and details have also been sought from the Information Department. A coordinator has been appointed for the DG Information Commission. A three-member commission headed by Sahibzada Saeed Ahmed is investigating.

It may be recalled that two weeks ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered the immediate removal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Ajmal Wazir from his post after the alleged audio recording came to light.
