There’s so much scam in the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi, in the name of property while you are buying a land that it becomes very hard to detect authenticity of the documents. However, if you follow certain steps and verify the documents from relevant departments then you can check veracity of the documents.
You will have to follow three simple steps to escape from property fraud.
Karachi’s land is divided into the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Karachi Development Authority, Malir Development Authority, Lyari Development Authority and six cantonment boards. Visit the record department of the relevant body and
- Verify the site plan from Master Plan Department
- Check the physical possession of the land
- Make sure the plot file has papers of site plan, allotment letter and transfer and possession letter
If the owner of the plot does not have his name on the papers then do not buy it.
