The Flour Mills Association has raised the price of a 20 kg sack of flour. The price went up from Rs 805 to Rs 825.
The new rates will extend to all of the Punjab cities except for Islamabad.
The Flour Mills Association said they increased the price by Rs 20, as wheat was supplied at a higher cost.
The association said that flour mills have to buy wheat from open markets where it is sold for more than Rs 1,475 according to the data. However, wheat prices have been fixed to Rs 1400 by the Punjab government.
