Pakistan Flour Mills has reduced the price of flour in Sindh by Rs. 7 per kg, after which the flour will be available at Rs. 52 per kg instead of Rs. 59.
The Sindh Food Department has released wheat at government rates to curb rising flour prices.
According to Chaudhry Muhammad Yousuf, chairman of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association, Sindh’s official wheat will arrive in three to four days.
Pakistan Flour Mills Association said that wheat provided by the government will be available till Monday and if the supply of wheat improves, the price can be reduced further.
It should be noted that just two weeks ago flour was being sold at Rs 60-62 in Karachi, while fine flour was being sold at Rs 66 per kg.
