Five killed in rain related incidents in KP

PESHAWAR: At least five people were killed in rain related incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has said that 10 houses were partially damaged.
Secretary Relief Yousaf Raheem visited affected areas of Abbottabad and directed the district administration to expedite rescue works by bringing all the resources available into use.
On directive of the chief secretary, PDMA Director General Shareef Hussain reached Shangla to review the relief activities. He posted representatives for nine sensitive districts. He said that the PDMA was in contact with all the relevant organisations.
The PDMA director general said, “PDMA’s control room is active 24/7 and people can inform about any untoward situation on 1700.”
