PESHAWAR: Five people were arrested by Cantonment Division police for stealing thermal guns from Directorate General of Health Services in Peshawar.
The suspects are employees of the department of health services. They stole the thermal guns bought for checking patients of coronavirus. Earlier, they had stolen N-95 masks, gloves and thermometer as well.
In police raid, stolen goods worth one million rupees were recovered from their possession. While, more than 0.3 million rupees cash were also recovered which they got after selling the gears and equipments.
SP Cant Tasawwar Iqbal said the suspects would be presented before the court on Monday (today).
