First truck of animals unloaded at Karachi’s largest cattle market
The first truck full of sacrificial animals has been unloaded at the largest cattle market of Karachi, also known as Asia’s largest, on Superhighway.
Construction of administration block of the market is almost complete and the market would be officially inaugurated on June 10.
The first truck had 21 cows and bulls, which were brought from Sheikhupura, following which the arrival of sacrificial animals began. According to reports, the traders are charging from Rs80,000 to Rs0.25 million for a big animal.
Administrator Karachi Cattle Market Rana Muhammed Imran said that the animals had started arriving in the market even before its inauguration.
