 First fast and Eid likely on same day across the country

Peshawar: The meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan will be held in Peshawar today.

The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad and it will be attended by members of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Peshawar.

Representatives from Ministry of Religious Affairs, SPARCO, Pakistan Meteorological Department and Ministry of Science and Technology will attend the meeting.

Central committee will decide on the sighting of the moon for the month of Ramadan 1443.

Meetings of zonal committees across the country will be held at their respective headquarters in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Islamabad. There is a strong possibility of moon sighting today.
