First cargo ship carrying wheat, urea reaches Gwadar
GWADAR: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Lieutenant General (retired) Asim Saleem Bajwa on Saturday said first bulk cargo ship “MV Manet” carrying wheat and urea of Afghan Transit trade reached Gwadar this week.
“(It’s) a dream come true for local economy, as it will stimulate host of business activity,” he tweeted.
On Feb 24, Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) General Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa had said the coronavirus epidemic will not affect the progress of CPEC projects.
Chairman CPECA had said benefits from the completion of CPEC’s first step are starting to appear. The retired general had said work was underway on the western route under CPEC.
