Firdous expresses concern over possession of guns with JUI-F protesters
ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting said that the government has allowed the protest march in conformity with the democratic traditions.
She expressed a serious concerns over the possession of arms and ammunition with the marchers in a tweet. She interrogated,
” The government has given the right to protest in adherence to the democratic tradition. What does Kalashnikov’s presence mean in the hands of those who claim democratic struggle?”
She also said that if anything dangerous happened during the march, Fazlur Rehman will be the one to blame.
” Maulana Fazlur Rehman is responsible for all the situation in the presence of poles and weapons.”
