Firdous Ashiq Awan denied entry to Punjab Assembly
Former aide to Punjab Chief Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan was barred from entering the Punjab Assembly on Monday. She recently resigned from the post.
She said her name was on the list of guests. “I don’t know who cut my name from the list,” Awan told media.
According to media reports, She went to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Ahsan Saleem Barryar who won in a recently held by-election on a PTI ticket from Sialkot.
In the video, PA security staff was seen stopping the PTI leader from entering inside the building.
“You are respectful, but you are now not allowed to go inside as your name is not on the list.” said the security personnel.
Earlier, the two aides to Punjab CM Awn Chaudhry and Firdous Ashiq Awan had posted their resignations.
According to the sources, Awn turned in his resignation letter in a meeting with the chief minister in which he was asked to stop lobbying against PTI government.
Whereas, Awan resigned a year after being appointed to the position due to personal reasons.
