FIR registered in Quetta blast that claimed eight lives

FIR was registered on Tuesday morning after the suicide blast that happened near Quetta’s Iqbal Road on Friday 17.
Nearly eight people were killed and 21 wounded. They were immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital by law enforcement personnel and rescue teams.
The Counter-Terrorism Department has lodged an FIR. The case was filed by the Civil Lines SHO according to the CTD, and it includes sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act and the Penal Code of Pakistan.
The PPC parts under which the case was reported refer to murder, attempted assassination, and possession of illegal explosives. It was blamed on offenders unknown.
Eight to ten kilograms of explosives were used in the explosion according to police. The bomb site was secured, and samples for forensic testing was sent to the laboratory.
The deceased, Quetta DIG Abdul Razzak Cheema said, also included two policemen and an official levies. A shutter-down strike is being observed in the city on the request of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party. All its business centers and shops were closed as well.
All the victims’ bodies have been returned to their heirs.
