FIR lodged against PDM leaders for holding rally in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has registered an FIR against the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders for holding a rally in Peshawar.

The FIR has been registered in Paharipura police station in the light of a letter sent by the government. Sections of Epidemic Control and Emergency Relief Act have been included in the FIR.

The FIR mentions names of presidents and responsible officials of the opposition parties. It also based display of weapons, playing sound system in public and other illegal actions in the report.

The report mentioned that the rally was held despite the district administration did not allow viewing spread of coronavirus.
