Several families, including one of the owner’s, were residing in the building which was constructed two years ago. Police and Rangers personnel have also arrived for rescue works. The injured have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical assistance.

Different portions were created in the building and sold, said residents of the area. On every floor of the edifice there were two families residing.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had taken notice of the incident. CM Murad Shah had sought details of the incident from concerned authorities.
