Financial Action Task Force expressed satisfaction at the steps taken by Pakistan towards implementation of Action Plan.

The week-long plenary meeting of the Financial Action Task Force, which ended today (Friday), took place in Paris. Minister of Economic Affairs Division Hammad Azhar led the delegation to Pakistan.

The FATF’s welcoming high-level political commitment from Pakistan highlighted the need for further action to finalize the Action Plan by June this year.

Members of the FATF decided to preserve the position of Pakistan on FATF’s Compliance Register, typically referred to as the Grey List.

Pakistan has made significant progress in implementing the FATF Action Plan during the last reporting period, which has been demonstrated by completing nine additional items for action.
