Finance Minister leaves for US to hold talks with IMF
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has left for the United States to hold talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the revival of $6 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF).
Before leaving for Washington, Miftah Ismail said in a statement that he would try to get the IMF program back on track.
Miftah Ismail said that PTI and Imran Khan derailed the IMF program, it was endangering our economy.
The Finance Minister said that he was happy that after three years, his name is out of stop list.
“And more happily, after 3 years of being on ECL, I will get to travel to London on the way and meet my leader Mian Nawaz Sharif.” He added.
