Final decision about winter vacation to be announced on Nov 23

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the interprovincial education ministers was held in Islamabad on Monday (today) with Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood in the chair to cogitate over the prevailing situation educational institutes amid the rising number of COVID-19.
No final decision was taken about the school vacation or closure at the forum.
Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said the final decision about winter vacation and closure of schools would be taken in the next meeting of interprovincial education ministers to be held on 23rd of November.
“The ratio of corona cases has risen by three percent recently,” the meeting was told.
The meeting of Ministers of Education of all provinces was being held to discuss the prevailing situation of resurge of Coronavirus cases in the country.
2,128 people have tested positive for coronavirus and 19 others died because of the virus in Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
The figure of patients recovered from the virus has reached 323,824. While, there are now 28,048 active cases in the country.
