The Minister of Religious Affairs, Pir Noorul Haq Qadri wrote a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the profane content of the movie after receiving complain by a senior cleric of Shia school.

Moreover the letter stated that, the movie has been made in order to generate conflicts between Shia and Sunni (communities) by falsifying and fabricating historical incidents in the movie.

The Iranian Shia marja’ and religious leader Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, has also condemned the release of the movie.

However, the Minister for Information Technology, Syed Aminul Haq has directed the PTA to restrict the release of the movie along with its trailer.
