FIFA suspends PFF over third-party interference

The international governing body of football FIFA has suspended Pakistan Football Federation over the “illegitimate occupation of the PFF headquarters”, which constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes.
“Suspension will remain until the normalisation committee gets the control of PFF,” sports journalist Faizan Lakhani wrote on Twitter.
The development came after the Normalisation Committe (the office bearers recognised by FIFA) was forced out as administration of the PFF headquarters.
Earlier, the PFF headquarters was attacked on March 27 in Lahore. The FIFA-appointed PFF NC chairman Haroon Malik along with his staff had been taken hostage for more than an hour by some of the football officials (former PFF President Ashfaq Hussain Shah group) who were elected during a poll held by the Supreme Court in December 2018.
Later on FIFA had already warned that PFF could be suspended.
