The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was on Thursday directed by the additional district and session judges to file FIR against the Pakistani cricketer, Babar Azam and two other women, who blackmailed and threatened Hamiza Mukhtar.
“Proceed further with registration of the FIR against the culprits within the stipulated time following legal formalities,” said judge Hamid Hussain.
Earlier, Hamiza accused Babar Azam having illicit relationship with her and torturing her when she asked him to marry her. She further revealed that she received threatening calls from Babar and different unknown numbers.
According to the FIA, the unknown callers were identified as Maryam Ahmed and Salemi Bibi. Salemi Bibi did not appear in the court. However, the other accused Maryam said that she did not know the petitioner Hamiza and did not send any abusive message to her.
