KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday arrested a suspect associated with international network of hawala and hundi in Karachi.
The suspect was arrested in a raid carried out by FIA’s anti-terrorism wing of Karachi on a tip-off provided by an arrested agent of Indian spy agency RAW.
FIA officials said that the arrested suspect, Yaseen, was a manager at a money exchange company. They recovered a laptop and mobile phone from his possession. They said the suspect was nabbed in Saddar area.
Raids are being carried out to arrest other people embroiled in international network of hawala and hundi.
FIA officials said that information about the suspects was sent to all the airports across the country.
