ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza on Thursday said that every possible step was being taken to cope with the Coronavirus.
Chairing a meeting of emergency core group in Islamabad, Zafar Mirza said the federal and provincial governments and other institutions were fully ready to meet the challenge and protect the people from the virus.
The special assistant said screening was being ensured at the airports and the ground routes.
He said 760,000 passengers had so far been screened. He said separate rooms were being allocated in the hospitals.

Zafar Mirza said only five Coronavirus cases had so far been reported in the country.
The screening process of the zaireen returning from Iran is underway by the officials of the Health Department in Sindh.
According to a spokesman of the Health Department, the authorities are in touch with the pilgrims returned from Iran and Rapid Response Medical Teams are periodically enquiring the health of the zaireen.
