Federal minister’s family gets COVID-19 vaccine ‘out of turn’

In a case of highhandedness, the family of Federal Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema gets vaccinated against the coronavirus ‘out of turn’ and at their home, it emerged on Monday.
A video has gone viral on social media in which Pakistani model and talk show host Iffat Omar can also be seen along with the other family members.
However, Cheema has clarified that the team of the University of Health Sciences visited his house for ”vaccination trials”. According to him, the reports on social media are based on “lies”.
People on social media are calling out the federal minister for ”using his influence” in the matter and demanding action against him.
Tariq Bashir Cheema is the Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and the elected member of the National Assembly from Bahawalpur.
Pakistan has launched its phase-wise vaccination campaign as the citizens aged 60 and above, are getting registered for the vaccine while the government has recently announced that the citizens aged 50 and above will be registered from March 30.
