The Federal government has announced to issue Sehat Insaaf cards to the permanent residents of Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan.
The special assistant to the prime minister on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan chaired a National Steering Committee on Sehat Sahulat Program on Wednesday, in which the decision of providing Sehat Insaaf Cards was taken.
According to Dr Faisal Sultan, around 258,000 families will be able to avail health facilities through health cards in the federal capital.
Whereas, 328,000 families in Gilgit Baltistan will have access to free health facilities through the health card.
Moreover, the residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Tharparkar were also benefited in terms of health facilities.
The government will issue Sehat Insaaf Cards in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara and Muzaffargarh within two months. However, the remaining districts will be given the cards by December.
