Federal govt adds 200 MW electricity for Karachi
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar on Thursday said the federal government had added 200 megawatts of electricity to the K-Electric to help address the load-shedding issue in Karachi.
In a tweet, he said the federal government was already providing 350 megawatts of electricity to the K-Electric.
On June 1, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail had summoned Chief Executive Officer (CEO) K-Electric Syed Monis Alvi and expressed his dismay over the unannounced and unscheduled loadshedding in Karachi.
On this occasion, Imran Ismail had also telephoned the Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar and discussed the loadshedding issue in Karachi.
The Sindh governor had stressed to improve the matters of K-Electric. He further directed the company to address the problems and complaints of the citizens on a priority basis.
