ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday chaired the emergecny meeting of Federal Cabinet and approved amendment in Army Act for the extension of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s (COAS) service tenure.
The amendment bill will be submitted to Parliament after approval, according to reports. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also told the audience about the targets set for 2020.
The previous meeting discussed the 9-point agenda, including issues relating to the new National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Legal Concerns.

The meeting had postponed the National College of Arts (NCA) bill thus authorizing the Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) CEO.
The meeting also approved the issuance of the State Bank’s financial statement for fiscal year 2018, the Norwegian’s citizen’s extraditon, the Interior Ministry’s offer to hand over to the UK Sohail Ahmed and the appointment of the CEO of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
