FC soldier awarded death sentence in Hayat Baloch murder case

TURBAT: A local court handed over a death sentence to a Frontier Corps soldier in Hayat Baloch murder case on Wednesday,

A FC soldier, Shadiullah was awarded death sentence after he confessed killing Hayat on his own.

On August 13, 2020, Hayat Baloch was murdered in front of his family by the FC soldier during a search operation, after two vehicles of the FC were targeted with bomb, injuring several FC officials.

After the incident the soldier took Hayat, who was working nearby in a farm with his parents, and shot him to death after manhandling him.

However, the FC officially condemned the incident while terming the action taken by the soldier ‘highly irresponsible’.

Hayat Baloch was also a student of University of Karachi who was spending time in his home town as educational institutes got closed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
