RAWALPINDI: Seven Pakistani soldiers were martyred when Frontier Corps (FC) post was attacked by terrorists in Harnai, Balochistan, DG ISPR announced on Sunday.
What was described by the military’s media wing as “fire raid”, the terrorists attacked the post located in Sharigh, Harnai district of Balochistan. According to ISPR’s press release, FC suffered seven casualties: Naib Subedar Gulzar resident of Mianwali; Sepoy Faisal r/o Hafiz Abad; Sepoy Abdul Wakeel r/o Pishin; Sepoy Sher Zaman r/o Kohat; Sepoy Jamal r/o Dera Bugti; Abdul Rauf r/o DG Khan; and Faqeer Muhammad r/o Muzafargarh
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also shared his concerns on the incident. “My heartfelt condolences & prayers go to their families. Our nation stands with our courageous soldiers who face attacks from Indian backed terrorists,” the premier wrote on Twitter.
Military operation against terrorists’ hideouts is underway in Balochistan.
