ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technologies Fawad Chaudhry on Monday levelled serious allegations against Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
“Mahmood Achakzai, who calls himself an Afghan kid, works on commission (for foreign powers). Those who are unaware should know that he is a son of Abdul Samad Achakzai, who was a president of Congress and Congress was against creation of Pakistan,” said Fawad Chaudhry while addressing a press conference in Islamabad. He was flanked by Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Political Communication Shahbaz Gill.
The federal minister for science alleged that from generations after generations, they were against Pakistan, not just Punjab. Their role was of a pawn of foreign powers here and they had no more worth than that, he said.
“We have no complaint from Mahmood Achakzai, but he goes to Karachi and speaks against Urdu language, then he goes to Punjab and he speaks against the province. What can be more ridiculous than saying that Punjab never fought for its freedom,” he wondered.
Fawad said it was surprising for him to see that the PML-N MPAs and MNAs from the province standing on this occasion were shamelessly smiling while Achakzai was speaking against Punjab. He also said that the PDM held a flop power show in Lahore.
Addressing the public gathering, Achakzai had said that Lahoris in collaboration with Hindus and Sikhs supported the British rule and helped them to try to capture the Afghan land.
