Famous series “Wednesday” may not return to Netflix for season 2

The second season of the globally lauded comedy-horror show Wednesday might not air on Netflix.
The series which broke so many records may not return to Netflix because the rights to the series, which as it turns out, is not entirely Netflix’s as the film is a project of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) production.
Secondly, back in March 2022, Amazon and MGM closed an $8.5 million merger. According to Deadline, at the time of this deal, Amazon stated it had no intent to make all MGM content exclusive to Prime Video, but things might have changed after the show’s massive success.
The series follows the title character’s teenage daughter as she adjusts to a new school for outcasts and is immediately challenged with developing her psychic gift, cracking a long-running supernatural mystery, and stopping a local killing spree—all while meeting new friends. Right now, season 1 of Wednesday is available on Netflix.
