ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has expressed anger over the civil aviation authorities saying that the country and the PIA have been harmed on the issue of fake degrees of pilots for which there is no cure.
The court gave a deadline for submission of reply and also sought clarification from the federal government on non-deployment of DG Civil Aviation. Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the state could not function like this.
The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday heard a petition against the suspension and dismissal of national airline pilots.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah was angry with the civil aviation authorities and inquired as to why a permanent DG had not been appointed to such an important post for the last two years.
“We have issued the advertisement but no appointment has been made yet,” the civil aviation lawyer said.
This is how the staff is dealt with. The most important post has been given to the Secretary Civil Aviation. The court adjourned the hearing for two weeks, giving PIA and civil aviation a deadline to file a reply.
The court directed the federal government to submit a written explanation to the High Court
