Facilities like health cards are nowhere in the world; PM Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said that in the past, even if the leaders had a cough, they prefer to go abroad for treatment. Now even the poor will have access to better health care facilities like anywhere else in the world.
Addressing the launching ceremony of National Health Card in Islamabad, He said that private hospitals remained for the elite class and government hospitals for the poor, which kept the quality of government hospitals declining. Doctors do not even go to hospitals, any person can go for treatment in private hospital through health card. Every family will have access to health facilities up to 1 million, even the poor can go for treatment in private hospital.
“I have seen the best national health system in the UK, but in the beginning it was very impressive,” he said. Our health card system has gone even further, with facilities like health cards nowhere else in the world. The Prime Minister said that people have no idea how great initiative health card is.
The Federal and Provincial governments have taken a big step like health card which is commendable.
