Peshawar: Excise police have foiled an attempt of smuggling drugs from Quetta to district Khyber’s Bara area.
The police conducted the action on a tip-off, and 156 kg of hashish was recovered from the floor of the truck.
Marijuana was hidden in 130 packets each one weighing around 1,200 grams.
The operation was carried out near Matni on Kohat Road, while the accused was arrested on the spot and a case was registered at Excise Police Station Peshawar.
Special Assistant Ghazan Jamal, Secretary and DG Excise praised the excise police for conducting a successful operation.
