As Imran Khan met Donald Trump on his 3 days visit to the United States of America, both exchanged unique presents.
On 22nd July 2019, Imran Khan was welcomed at the White House to meet the president of USA Donald Trump to mend the strained relations between Pakistan and America over the prolonged conflict in Afghanistan.
As a token of gesture and goodwill, PM Khan gifted Trump a camel skin vase with a unique portrait painting of him on it.
Hanifullah Khan, the painter from Multan said,
“It’s a most difficult technique, as we have to make the surface of the vase smooth enough to paint a portrait.”
It was the proudest moment of Hanifullah’s life as his work was selected to be presented to the president of the United States of America.
“The most difficult part for me was to ace Donald Trump’s portrait because popular personalities from all across the world will have a look at it,” said the painter.
In return, US President Donald Trump gifted a cricket bat along with the picture of President Eisenhower – the only US President who had watched a Test match in Pakistan.
President Trump said that it is a great honor to have a “very popular, a great athlete, one of the greatest, the prime minister of Pakistan.”
