Ex-MQM leader injured in assassination bid
HOUSTON: Former Mutthida Qaumi Movement leader Nadeem Nusrat on Monday survived an assassination attempt in Houston.
Nadeem Nusrat got wounded in the gun attack on his car.
Confirming the assassination attempt on Nadeem Nusrat, former MQM leader Wasi Jalil said that his car was targeted by unknown assailants in Houston, while he was returning home after attending a function in the morning.
Police have reached at the site of the incident and launched an investigation.
It should be noted that Nadeem Nusrat, who used to be considered a close associate of MQM founder Altaf Hussain, has founded his new party Voice of Karachi after differences grew between him and Altaf Hussain during last few years.
