KARACHI: Turkish actor Engin Altan, who played the leading role in period drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul, held a conversation with three terminally ill Pakistani Make-A-Wish children through a Facebook live session.
The children, Fizza Khuda Baksh, 14, Sidra Khan, 15, and Sohail Umer,16, were wearing outfits of Kayi tribe from the drama. They wanted to meet Engin Altan, following which Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan contacted Make A Wish Foundation Turkey to arrange the meeting. The kids presented a sword to the actor as a gift, which was received by Turkish Consulate General on his behalf.
Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed, actress Ayesha Omar and Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Shelwani were also present among others on this occasion.
Engin Altan said he was over the moon upon receiving so much love from Pakistan. About the role of Ertugrul Gazi, he said, “It was extremely difficult but amazing.”

A volunteer of the Make A Wish Foundation sang Dirilis: Ertugrul‘s title song on this occasion.
Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan founder Ishtiaq Baig told Altan was so popular in Pakistan that he will, if contested, win election to become a member of the parliament.
