SRINAGAR: In the Occupied Kashmir, Indian authorities have declared the entire valley and three districts of Jammu region as red zone based on an overall assessment of coronavirus situation.
The classification of districts was given in an order issued by Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam.
As per the order issued by the Jammu and Kashmir administration, the entire Kashmir valley, which comprises ten districts has been declared as the red zone.
Meanwhile, unrelenting military siege and crippling lockdown imposed by the fascist Modi government of India on August 5, last year, have completed 9 months, on Tuesday (today).
A report, released by Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, said in violation of international guidelines, the continued ban on high-speed internet has deprived Kashmiris from useful information regarding coronavirus.
India had suspended the internet and mobile phone services in occupied Kashmir on August 05, 2019.
President Dr. Arif Alvi has said under the Covid-19 crisis, efforts are being made to push Occupied Kashmir issue on to the back burner.
In a tweet on Tuesday, he said these efforts are in a way similar to the setback suffered by genuine freedom movements like Palestine and Kashmir after 9/11.
