According to the cause list issued by the office of the registrar of the high court, the case will be taken up by IHC Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif.

Barrister Salman Safdar said, “You are appearing before us in court for the first time; do not let us leave empty-handed.” Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro said, “Both your applications have been accepted; you will not leave empty-handed.”

After ordering the respondents to file their responses, the court adjourned the hearing until next week.

However, in the past few days a two-bench of the Islamabad High Court has de-notified Justice Tariq Mehmood from the post of judge.
